Lauren has a vast range of knowledge in the areas of fitness and health having completed both a Bachelor of Health Science and an Honours degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Deakin University. Her passion for sport and exercise arose from her success in Rhythmic Gymnastics which was involved in for 12 years, medalling at state and national level!
During her gymnastics career she was fortunate enough to train with many professionals from around the world including former Junior European Champion and Olympic Finalist Valeria Vatkina (Belarus), Krasi Yurakova (Bulgaria), Lisa Bradley (Australia) & Prima Ballerina Valentina Pavlova (Bolshoi Ballet, Russia). Through these coaches Lauren was exposed to wide range of unique training methods for the development of flexibility and strength.
During her tertiary study at Deakin University Lauren majored in Exercise Science, Nutrition and Psychology during her undergraduate degree and then went onto complete an honours year researching the benefits of gymnastics based flexibility and power training for dancers. In 2018, Lauren returned to Deakin University as a sessional teacher and she enjoys sharing her experience in the field with the students as well as staying up to date with the latest research. Lauren is also Certified Stott Pilates Instructor including Injuries and Special Populations and she works with Amir Takla from Australian Sports Physiotherapy rehabilitating patients post hip arthroscopy to restore their ROM and strength.
Over the years, Lauren has worked with many aesthetic athletes around Australia including gymnasts, dancers and ice skaters. She developed a Junior Development Squad for gymnasts at Mitcham Rhythmic Gymnastics Club and began a Rhythmic Gymnastics program at St Peters Collegiate Girls School in SA. In Melbourne she taught at Prahran Rhythmic Gymnastics Specialist Centre and was responsible for their talent ID in schools. Lauren has conducted workshops for the Victorian State Aerobics Squad and Ice Skating Victoria and developed the FLEX-PRO Calisthenics Training Method. She has also taught at The Space Dance & Arts Centre Full Time Program, Centrestage Performing Arts School and developed programs for DanceLane Performing Arts.
For the last few years Lauren’s focus has been developing sports specific gymnastics based cross-training programs to assist athletes develop mobility, stability & power. Lauren currently consults with athletes and sports teams on the Gold Coast as well as managing the Limber Ladies Female Fitness Programs in Melbourne. Still heavily involved in training herself Lauren undertakes a mix of dance, circus and pilates training each week and performs in cabaret and circus shows internationally. Some of her performance career highlights include Draculas Cabaret (Melbourne/Gold Coast), Stage Entertainment & 20th Century Fox (Europe & NZ Tours), Friedrichsbau, Gourmet Palace & Europa Park Variete (Germany) Circus Ohlala (Switzerland) & Sadistic Circus (Japan). Lauren looks forward to continuing to share her training techniques with other athletes as well as inspire Women with her Limber Ladies feminine fitness programs.
